Our Story

Two Sisters. One Hive.A lifetime of purpose.

Sorella is Italian for sister.
This is the story of both of them.

"It started with
one backyard hive
and a question."

The Beginning

What happens when two sisters who've spent their whole lives in the gardens of Kingsville, Ontario decide to stop buying honey from a shelf and start making it themselves?

It started as a question, turned into a hive, and became something neither of them expected — a small business rooted in raw ingredients, honest craft, and the kind of care that only comes from people who know their land intimately.

Sorella Gold is named for sisterhood. Every jar is an expression of that bond — poured with intention, sealed with love, and sent out to a community they're still getting to know.

Kingsville, Ontario

The Journey

From one hive
to something more.

The Spark

The first hive arrives.

A backyard experiment born from curiosity and a shared love of the garden. The bees arrived before the business plan did — and that, it turned out, was exactly right.

The Craft

A year of learning.

Lockdowns turned kitchen tables into laboratories. The sisters spent a year studying, tending, and tasting — reading everything they could find, failing gracefully, and falling deeper in love with the process.

The Brand

Sorella Gold is born.

Named for sisterhood. Est. 2021. The first labelled jars left the kitchen in small brown bags, hand-delivered to neighbours and friends. Word travelled fast on quiet streets.

The Community

The first harvest sells out.

Before the announcement was even posted, the jars were gone. A waiting list formed. The kitchen got busier. The sisters looked at each other and decided: this is real.

The Collection

The menu expands.

Infused varieties. Seasonal limited runs. Gift sets wrapped by hand. The collection grew as the craft deepened — each new flavour a conversation between the sisters and their land.

A New Sorella

A sister company blooms.

Golden Sorella Co. launches — a honey-inspired menu that celebrates beauty, flavour, and life beyond the liquid gold. This new sorella is buzzing with excitement and can't wait to share her vision.

@sorellagold

Sorella Gold was born between two sisters who grew up among the orchards and gardens of Kingsville, Ontario. One brings the science — the careful study of hives, seasons, and moisture. The other brings the soul — the flavour instincts, the kitchen craft, the eye for beauty in a jar.

Together, they make something neither could make alone. That's the whole point.

Now Blooming

A new sorella
is buzzing.

A new bee business and sister company is blooming. @golden_sorellaco arrives with a signature honey-inspired menu that celebrates beauty, flavour, and life beyond the liquid gold.

This sorella is buzzing with excitement and can't wait to share her vision with you — a world where honey isn't just something you spread on toast, but a way of living beautifully.

What We Believe

The things we
won't compromise on.

01

Raw. Always.

We never heat, blend, or alter the honey beyond the gentlest cold-filtration. What the bees made is what you get. Full enzymes, live pollen, genuine flavour.

02

Local. Only.

Every single jar traces back to one postcode — Kingsville, Ontario. The terroir is the point. We will never source from elsewhere and call it ours.

03

Honest Craft.

No shortcuts. No marketing over substance. We harvest by hand, fill by hand, label by hand. You'll find a batch number and harvest date on every jar.

04

Beautiful Things.

We believe food should be beautiful. From the amber of the honey to the design of the jar — every detail is intentional. Life is too short for ugly honey.

Our Place

Rooted in
Kingsville.

Kingsville, Ontario sits at the very tip of Canada's warmest agricultural belt — a place of orchards, vineyards, wildflower meadows, and greenhouses that stretch to the horizon. Our bees don't travel far. They don't need to.

The land gives the honey its flavour. The season gives it its character. We give it nothing more than a jar and a label — and the knowledge that someone, somewhere, will taste exactly where it came from.
